Barry Parker

Managing Director

The driving force of the company. Barry is the son of company founders David and Jan. Barry completed his automotive apprentice technician training in 2003 and has continued his development with BOSCH, advancing with his diagnostic knowledge and marketing skill set. His passion for the company is evidential and has a clear vision for the company future. He has an extreme attention to detail with both the client and his team. Barry oversees all business operations on a day to day basis.

Mikki Coombes

Service Manager

Mikki joined us in 2015 after a successful trial period and has operated as an integral part of the team. Mikki has proven her ability in vehicle detailing, quality control and customer service. Mikki has progressed into a dynamic customer service advisor role and recently advanced into an assistant manager role. You will almost certainly talk to Mikki during your visit, she is very hard working and a popular team member - will move mountains to help and assist people.

Our team use the latest diagnostic and hand tools to ensure your vehicle is with people that know. We provide video inspection(s) direct from our workshop floor and always offer free and impartial advice.

Dave Richards

Workshop Manager

Despite being a Tottenham Hotspur fan, Dave is a superb, experienced vehicle technician! A senior technician that is an asset to the team, Dave has experienced every vehicle type and his mechanical experience of both classic and modern motor vehicles is exceptional. A true team player, but like we have said, a spurs fan....

Darren Batty

Vehicle Technician (Ex-Porsche)

Darren has a solid background in sports, performance and prestige vehicles. After his apprenticeship through a well known Porsche Specialist, Darren has spent his career to date working in independent performance car specialist(s) gaining in-depth knowledge and experience of working on performance specific systems. 

David Eason

Vehicle Technician (Ex-Jaguar)

Dave (Ed) has been with the company for over 33 years. His wealth of experience, mechanical understanding and undiluted knowledge of mechanical systems brings a huge level of quality to larger repairs, rebuilds and inspection(s). A part-of-the-furniture character and one of the longest serving members of the team

Tim Nicholson

VOSA Approved MOT Tester

Tim has been a dedicated member of the company for over 35 years, a remarkable tenure during which he has witnessed every change, development, and the arrival of numerous team members across three decades. Throughout his extensive career, he has embraced his main role as an MOT tester, a position that not only showcases his expertise but also highlights the wealth of generational knowledge he brings to the table. His passion for his work shines through, and he is always eager to engage in detailed discussions with our clients, sharing his findings and insights to ensure they fully understand the intricacies of the testing process.

Nigel Bell

Diagnostic Technician, VOSA Approved MOT Tester

Nigel brings 38 years of automotive experience to the BTE team, with a career spanning independent workshops and prestige marque specialists. A highly skilled diagnostic technician and auto electrician, his expertise covers the full spectrum of modern diagnostics, electrical fault finding, software reprogramming and complex mechanical repair, with particular strength in German marques. Nigel has worked at the very highest levels of the industry, including time as an active technician to Lewis Hamilton and his family. Always methodical, always thorough, and always happy to sit down with our customers and talk through his findings.

Sam Trevena

Apprentice Vehicle Technician Lv3

Sam is progressing through his Level 3 Apprenticeship and brings maturity and focus as an older apprentice. His dedication to developing his technical skills, combined with his hands-on approach, makes him a strong asset to our workshop team. Sam is committed to building a long-term career in the automotive industry and is already proving himself to be a reliable and capable member of BTE.

Ollie Edwards

Apprentice Vehicle Technician Lv3

Ollie joins BTE after completing an engineering course and brings with him fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and a strong technical foundation. As one of the industry’s exciting new talents, he has a keen eye on progression and is eager to expand his skills within our workshop. Shay’s passion for engineering and determination to grow make him a valuable part of our future team.
